How to add padding between each item of a row in Android? -

i having table each row containing 3 buttons. now, want add padding between each buttons in single row.. how can that..? when add statement in code,

tablerow.setpadding(20,20,20,20); 

i able observe padding between each row. want have padding between each button...

note: want java programmatically, not xml..
