google analytics - Website monthly visits are (daily visits x 30)? -
i'm trying estimate if showing ads on website can become main source of income estimating traffic of similar sites.
there several websites, offering traffic statistics , presenting similar data. instance, here statistics stackoverflow.com
:
http://www.similarweb.com/website/stackoverflow.com http://www.trafficestimate.com/stackoverflow.com http://www.siteworthtraffic.com/report/stackoverflow.com
according these data, stackoverflow.com
receives around 150 million monthly visits. mean should divide number 30 in order number of daily visits, resulting in 5 million visits day, worth ~15 000$ income day? because that's quite low number such monster.
or in reality receives around 150 million users each day, making around 500 000$ day?
another case - vk.com
:
http://www.trafficestimate.com/vk.com
http://www.similarweb.com/website/vk.com#overview
http://www.siteworthtraffic.com/report/vk.com
according vk.com
have 350 millions active users. data, presented trafficestimate, similarweb , siteworthtraffic don't consistent.
another case - meduza.io
.
meduza.io
news site, created ~30 people team, left lenta.ru
after polytical persecution of chief editor. they're making ~3 million visitors month or ~ 10 million page views.
http://www.trafficestimate.com/meduza.io
http://www.similarweb.com/website/meduza.io#overview
with 10$/1000 page views, achieve 100 000$/month, barely or not enough pay salaries 30 people in europe.
the question how many users hitting stack overflow day based off users information.
monthly visits estimate of total month. dividing 30 give ballpark per day. 5,000,000 day.
you mentioned revenues quite low. estimates off. ad revenue higher projecting. i've worked on few smart phone apps anonymize user data , monetized @ 20 cents user. estimate of 15,000 day 5,000,000 users has ad revenue @ .003 cents user.
i not sure produces highest revenue imagine site specializing in computer code have larger ad revenue sire focused around gardening.
i hope helps.
